Root [Virgin Mobile] Am I too late?

So, I got my phone yesterday, and decided that, for now, I was just going to flash recovery (philz), root, and get rid of bloatware. I found a flashable tool that removed most of the Samsung bloatware, which I used, but I could no longer get on the 4G LTE network. Maybe I misread, but I had the understanding that flashing the modem would fix things (it was the Virgin Mobile modem), but that made it impossible to get on the network and even the wifi. I tried to return to stock via philz, forgetting that the modem would remain. Needless to say, I want thinking and forgot to make a nandroid backup...

Would I be able to fix this by flashing a stock or custom ROM?, or did I mess things up too badly and end up with an expensive brick?

Just go on the ROM. Get a computer to copy a deodexed stock ROM on there. Copy it to your SD card and flash. :) how I helped some
 
Thanks. I'm actually thinking about using this experience to go ahead and try LiquidSmooth. Would there be any issues with that?
 
And I just found out that yes, it's too late... or at least I think. I went ahead and tried flashing LiquidSmooth (I know, I'm making really poor decisions today). I'm still able to boot into recovery, but not anything else.

At this point, I'm just ready to give up. I'm almost certain that I'm hard bricked now. <sigh>

Update: Thank the Android gods, I think this just saved me!

If you can get into download mode you should be able to odin a tar version of the stock rom. I don't think that ALL is lost.
 
Thanks guys. The stock ROM that I posted on my last thread worked perfectly for me (I did have to re-flash Philz Recovery, but that wasn't a big deal at all), and I've learned a few things along the way. I still want to flash LiquidSmooth sometime, but I'm gonna make sure I do all my homework before I get started on it. :)
