Yeah. We are basically feeding off the sprint development (not everybody, but most) and creating fixes for our phone.

OK so I'm thinking about get a s3.. What you are telling me is flashing sprints ROMs are OK or is it more to it.. Like flash a fix too work?

This is an awesome phone, I am really enjoying mine. At this point in the month, you might just want to wait for Cyber Monday and see if Virgin offers a better deal, but either way I would highly recommend. Flashing custom ROM's causes issues with LTE and MMS, MopedRyder has done a great job putting together flashable .zip files to fix this. In order to flash custom ROM's in the first place, you have to choose a Sprint ROM, and you need to know how to modify it, the second link is a thread I put together with instructions on how to do that.

Agreed. By far the best phone I've had. And with 4.4 development already taking off, the s3 still has a bright future still to come.
