Root [Virgin Mobile] Any virgin mobile based roms

For some reason my phone does not work right when I flash these Sprint roms I never have good service I get about 1g speed on average on stock rom I always have 4g speed also my mobile status say disconnect

your phone is sprint, uses sprint towers, just uses virgin mobiles network, also the stock phone lies about its signal all day long

the closest you could probly get at the moment would be the MK5 Stock Deodexed or odex roms, which if i recall correctly are just modified original stock VM 4.3 roms (jellybean)

as for the question of your thread, its impossible currently to have a 4.4+ VM rom unless someone builds it from the ground up, in which case they would need to use a source, and the only one available would be a sprint one since there versions is the one with multiple roms so far thruout its life (and here when i say multiple roms in its life i mean official ones)

also stock rom uses 5 bars for signal, non stock roms only use 4 so from the gate itll seem worse, also the custom roms measure the signal more accurately then stock does and recheck the signals more often, which is why most custom roms the signal seems to always bounce

currently the d2lte versions of roms arnt just sprint based since they include files for every single variant of the S3 meaning the d2lte has files for Sprint, VM, Boost, and probly Tmobile, att so on and so forth (actually the att parts probly a lie as i believe there model is the 745 or something), the only thing im unsure if they have is the apn setting for each carrier included but as ive been seeing ppl say they no longer needed the fix i would guess there working on it



your mobile network state should say connected tho, are you using the APN fix after flashing the roms, or are you only flashing the roms zip???
 
If you chosen a ROM to use make sure it has all the build dot prop edits done some of the edits allow you to get strong data which ROM are u using and is this a custom ROM such as cyanogen mod or mokee.
 
No I haven't use pan fix I just flash it thanks for the info u gave me a lot of useful info how do I use apn fix

that may have been your issue there lol by default the phone will try to connect but without the apn fix, youll get nothing, basically it removes the Sprint tower setting and adds VM ones instead

as for directions check the page first but its usually just flash it and go


also have you been flashing gapps as well, its google play but it effects your signal as well as actually putting google play store and all on the device since roms arnt allowed to bundle google play within them



just as an example lets say your gonna flash the latest CM11 youd do it like this
1. flash the rom
2. flash the gapps
3. some roms have been including the fix some arnt so usually just leave it on ur sd card for those just in case reasons lol, but its this point that if you have no data youd wanna flash the fix restart and then you should have data, sometimes you need to go in setting and reselect cdma+lte but usually you dont

also newer roms have switch from d2spr to d2lte, the lte is the one you want as it by default has our device on its list
 
Did everything I still get no 4g or 3g I can call but can't use my internet out side of WiFi and mobile network stills says disconnecyed
 
i just noticed your account says Galaxy Ring, is that the device you have? cause if so this is the VM Galaxy S3 SPH-L710 Forum, in which case if you do have the ring nothing here would work correctly for ya

if you do have the S3 then check above as craig has suggested, altho it should be enabled and should be working already, i flashed the newest CM yesterday with no issues, currently in my room ive got 1 bar of LTE
