Root [Virgin Mobile] Anyone wanting to MIUI WITH 4g lte

i sure that with knox, you cannot flash any rom that is pre 4.3

this rom is based on anroid 4.2.2 so unfortunately, no. when the new version comes out(kitkat) then you can.

Hey man figured I'd let you know, if you don't know already, a new build dropped tonight. MIUI v5 4.4.4 :) I'm about to flash and try it.

It's a spr build. You just usually have to flash the apn fix. However you have to do that even on a cm build. It doesn't work with this build through. The 4g is borked even for sprint users. When they have a fixed version I'll let you guys know. I'm on boost so I have to use an apn fix as well.

If you go to this thread here, there is an updated version of the rom (no asserts) and it's MIUI v5 4.4.4 (still android version 4.2.2) instead of 4.2.14

Thanks for the APNs! I had it working before (don't remember how) and have been trying to get it working again. You rock!

If you can get 4g working with the newest build let us know. I couldn't do it at all and a lot of sprint users can't either lol.
 
I think LTE is an issue with the ROM itself. It should work whena new build is released fixing this issue

Oh shoot, okay so what I did was I looked at the included apns in the miui.zip and looked for differences, and the apn version was the only thing you needed to change in moped's fixes. You can't use the 4.4 version though, you have to grab the "LTE no MMS" apn and modify it for LTE.

It worked for me but I missed MMS so I went back to PAC rom for daily use.
 
I am redownloading MIUI (4.4.4), the MIUI gapps (from the 4.4.4 thread), your modded apn fix, mopedryder's apn fix (which I will modify), and the ktoon kernel. I'm gonna throw it all together and see what sticks. I'll keep a good record of my steps and post the results for each trial until something works.

Okay, so I downloaded everything fresh today: got the brand new APN fix (R1), new miui ROM and gapps, wiped everything (full wipe then cache then dalvik).

Changed APN fix from version 8 to 7
Flashed ROM and gapps,
Didn't sign in
Rebooted once back to miui.
Booted to recovery and flashed modded APN fix
Signed into Google
Late works (says 4g)
MMS worked with hangouts (not stock messager)

Mattstout, you were able to get MMS to work? I have only been able to send, but not receive. MMS tries to keep being received from stock messenger even though I turn on SMS for hangouts.
