I thought this would help me get away from google, & it's completely google integrated ;__;

Android is made by google. You have to sign in to your google account to use any android device. Without google, no play store. So instead of chrome use another browser. Instead of google search use duck duck go. Use what you want.

I understand that, but like; I just need play store, gmail, & chrome.
I don't care for anything else really, don't like the logged into google constantly, the hangouts, & that search bar at the top is annoying to me. -.-

So, just wipe OS for new ROM & just use the initial stock(back up/restore I made)?

edit; How's that Cyanogenmod? LiquidSmooth 3.0? They seem to be somewhat better options ;__;

So get rid of hangouts. Get rid of the search bar. You can do anything you like. Use a different launcher. But you will always be logged in to google no matter what. I use nova launcher without the persistent search bar. But google search and google now are the best parts of android. Cm and liquid smooth still require you to flash gapps. Gapps = google apps

& if I got rid of hangouts, what about a default text messages app?

Use the touchwiz messaging app. When you flash it gave you a choice of hangouts or touchwiz. If you want minimal, go with one of the others you mentioned. Then get minimal gapps. Or reflash conquest and don't pick so many google apps. Use some touchwiz (stock). Great part of android, choices

Ahh, I see. I just went with default stuff when I flashed. I see now. Not as bad as I thought.
Reflashing as we speak, looking into more & seeing the options. Didn't check the other option. Also touchwiz VPN client, is that necessary?

Well I made it perfect to my preference it's wonderful. I can definitely already tell a difference in battery life.

Ktweaker works with your new performance kernel, ktoons. For settings, for starters don't over clock the processor too much. 1.7 seems stable. The rest, well back up your settings in profiles and try a couple things. Maybe some others will chime in.

Just gunna do some googling for Ktweaker, but one more thing. While using google chrome, black boxes tend to flash on the screen while using it & scrolling around. -.- wut do?
