Root [Virgin Mobile] Carbon ROM

ok thanks I don't know why, but the link wasn't showing up on my screen. Okay one question I'm running midnight rom 1.4 and it has a custom kernal so is there going to be a confliction when I flash? (sorry I don't know much about kernals)

Even when adding the play store into the rom ,it won't launch nor will the browser either. Does anyone know why they aren't launching?

Every-time I try to flash it the installation aborts...I give up I have no clue what to do

Have you correctly modified the ROM prior to flashing? The assert lines have to be removed from the updater-script or it will never flash properly. Personally Carbon is my favorite ROM I am finding it to be beyond awesome in conjunction with dkp kernel. There are also several GApps options just be sure you are flashing 4.3 version.

how would I do that? also could someone just upload their version with g-apps I'm not good with androids if you haven't figured it out yet

Ok now when I do the setup I can't get past step 2 I selected my language, and now when I connect to my wifi it connects to it for about 2 minutes then the setup stops working, if i skip the step the same thing happens...

Ok everything is working now turns out it I download the wrong version of g-apps. Thank you for helping me! :)

Glad you got things working! Going forward, Paranoid Android is maintaining several versions of current GApps on XDA once you get more comfortable with what you are doing in terms of customization; I generally prefer more minimal GApps packages because I can always add what I need from my Titanium Backup or the Play Store. I would also recommend paying close attention to anything posted by Moped_Ryder in these threads because he has been a beast trying to get the Virgin Mobile SGS3 up to speed for our community.Good luck, feel free to PM me if you would like any tips regarding this particular ROM!

I love the rom the only thing I miss about touchwiz is the camera features and s-voice ,but this is probably the rom I'll use for years. Thanks again
