Virgin mobile card to use for activation

I am planning to buy this phone 3 weeks from now. And I wanted to know if I can buy one of those Virgin mobile cards to use to activate the phone? And is there a activation fee and if there is one, how much is it? Thanks!

edit-just a fyi the sell will end by then and you will be paying $299 unless they extend it again

You can use a card, it only needs to be the amount of your bill. There is no activation fee.

I agree with euphan. The phone is currently on sale for $240 through the Virgin Mobile website or $229 at Radioshack either at the store or on their website. If you plan on getting the phone now would be the time if possible.

Thanks! I have to wait about 3-4 weeks.

Try to beg or borrow the money, after this back to school promotion you're probably going to have to wait until Black Friday. I mean for $ 60 to $ 70 off I would definitely go for it now if at all possible.

I am very poor, I am the only one in my house hold, who has a job. I have been supporting my family. So there is "no" borrowing money.

Yeah I hear you, this economy really sucks. I would try holding off until Black Friday then. With the money that you save you could pay for your first 2 months service. Good luck dude, I think that you'll enjoy it. While the phone has a couple of issues that are readily fixed, this is by far the best phone on Virgin. I paid almost as much for the Intercept and then the Triumph and this phone has been a much more pleasurable experience.

That would be great! But with my luck I doubt it lol I am glad you can use those cards. And I can't wait to get rid of Huawei Ascend.
