Hello again. I suppose you all thought this was a dead project. It took me a while, and there is a ways to go, but this thread marks the beginning of the real deal. You will need to get the newest gapps from here : Gapps - CyanogenMod

I am posting this here so the VMU devs know whats going on with this. All github repo's are updated as I fix stuff, so if you're on github follow those repos or use git remote add upstream to get the newest versions/changes.

[HIGH]WARNING: THIS IS A WORK IN PROGRESS AND CAN GO FROM BAD TO WORSE OVER NIGHT. MAY EAT YOUR CAT OR CHASE YOUR DOGS TAIL OR LOSE YOUR CAR KEY!!! USE CAUTIOUSLY AND WITH THE PERSPECTIVE THAT IT WILL GET BETTER AS YOU ARE PATIENT.[/HIGH]
I will update/bump the thread when there are new builds or you can follow live by joining freenode #oudhitsquad or by hitting the link in my signature. If you want to check for new builds yourself navigate from here:
Official Unloved Device HitSquad
or just change the date on the old link to the current date.

THE LINK
I will ignore ALL "when will this work" posts. I welcome anyone to help with the code by forking my repos on github and issuing a pull request for fixes. I will try and preserve all commit history so credit goes to those who help.

Working/non-working list is in the second post

Massive credit goes to CM and the entire crew working to make this ROM awesome. Also thanks to the #apexqtmo for their diligence and good practice in porting the kernel for the apexqtmo and to jt1134 who ported the kernel for expressatt. I used their examples as I modified our kernel.

ERROR: I will only be updating the Sprint thread for fixes as redundancy is the killer of any creative endeavor.

Cno credit to me for anything except building it all credit goes to xInterlopeRx ,g60madman,Chairshot215,Jerryscript and to anyone else i forgot im sorry this is the vmu flavor of the new 10.2 you need to grab the correct gapps. im Sure once Chairshot gets time he will make an offical post with a release but anyway i built it from their source if you guys wanna try it out here is my dropbox link. i have booted it and tested it apply like normal

again no credit to me i just built it.

also wanted to add with 10.2 gapps i get constant fc of keyboard. gonna try 10.1 or maybe wipe cache again. im at work so my testing will be limited.

Link removed need to check some things back soon hopefully

Does this have the 4G baseband fix that someone found for the CM10 ROM? And is there a list of 'not workings', or is that something I should help work out? :p

I gotta update the repo and rebuild hoping.later.today. but the baseband update didnt fix 4g on cm10 on vmu for anyone I know of.

Not the MG5 update, but one that someone found 2-3 days ago where some VMU field was blank in a file instead of being filled in. It was one of the last few posts in the CM10 thread, I believe. Baseband's the wrong word for it. At any rate, if the same stuff in this is broken that's broken in the CM10, and that's it, I'd be glad to make it a daily and report any issues. ;) I need a second hard drive to set up a build environment.

I'm going to try to find some storage devices, 3.5", for free or cheap and put a Ubuntu build environment on my desktop. Failing that, I'll see if I can use my fiance's old Lenovo laptop for lulz. I'm 95% sure that thing has a defective motherboard or processor, though, so no telling with that.

Alright, as promised I have made some changes to my local (and remote) repos so that I can build for VMU also. I am using ONE device tree and I will need to change a few more things before it's virginerific. It's on the way, maybe tonight. Will update OP. And, you will get working bluetooth...

You are f'in awesome. Once I find a spare 3.5" drive around (or procure my fiance's Lenovo laptop) I'll have ab uild environment, and I'll just have to sorto ut how its donw.

Stupid question, but where is the working/non-working list? I know it's supposed to be in the second post, but I'm new here and can't find it.

*Edit: Nevermind, found it in the sprint section!

Yeah InterlopeR Finally got some time last night for trying to fix up device files for VMU. For the most part just used your Files for Sprint modified for VMU to build with the rest of your repository’s used for 10.2.

https://github.com/vmobi-gogh/android_device_samsung_goghvmu/tree/cm-10.2

Had a slight issue starting the build but after changing line 20 in D2-common.mk was able to start building again. Also think the manifest may have had duplicate entries for goghspr.

Since I have had an issue with the following after the build has started. Never mind just figured that one out. Sure I will still have a question for you in the next 20 minutes, lol.

Thats a legit repo. It comes from github@TheMuppets samsung tree. I am not pulling it with the manifest I suppose, but thats good because it has nearly 100 devices. Go there, and get what you need. Don't pull any kernel or vendor changes from me today. My stuff might be broken. Also, in the future, leave your comments on github and gist to direct other probable helpers. Cheers and good luck.

Thank you xInterlopeRx and Chairshot for all the work y'all are putting into this device. I have keeping up with y'alls githubs, and I've send how y'all have been constantly working on CM10.2, and it's very appreciated

I'll be getting a cheapo hard disk at the end of the month and instaling Ubuntu 10.04 for building Androids.

In that case, I"ll figure out how to pull and build the VM image. On a related note, has anybody else built a working VM image, or one I can flash to test?
