Root [Virgin Mobile] [CM11] Using OTA CM updates

I'm currently using the latest nightly build of the d2spr CM11 (the latest build on the CM website). However, I can see in the CM updater that there are new snapshots and nightlies, and I have a few questions about them.

The CM version I'm using is the d2spr version, and these are the d2lte versions. Will switching between them cause any issues?

I know that for the d2spr version, I had to edit the file to prevent the install from canceling, I assume I would have to do the same thing here. In that case, where on my phone does CM save the new versions when I download them?

Basically, just for clarification process, the update process would be something along these lines, right?

-Edit the file to keep it from canceling the install
-Clear cache/any other things.
-Flash rom
-Flash the APN fix

It's been a while since I've done this, so I'm clearly a little rusty.

You don't have to change anything for d2lte. They are unified builds. Just flash ROM then APN fix.
No edits needed. You can also download it from the cm website. Or through the updater. Through the updater it will fail because its meant for twrp. But let it try, then navigate to where it is (you'll see it in the failed script ) and just install it yourself.
