So I got a new S5 (yay!).
I'm trying to return my old S3 to stock to give away to a friend. I'm confused by a couple of things:
1. The phone is currently stock/rooted with Phil'z Custom Recovery.
2. It appears that I need to flash the 4.3 firmware using Odin. However, I'm unable to find VM Firmware for my phone. Will this return the recovery to normal? Where can I find this effin' firmware? I've found links for Verizon, Sprint, but not VM.
3. Will flashing that via Odin fix Phil'z Custom Recovery? And then I can take the OTA update?
I haven't flashed any ROMs. Is there a faster way I could be doing this? I'm basically trying to get the phone to the point at which he can change the number on it.
