Nahh. You can use towelroot app. Towelroot.com. then get SuperSU from play store. Then get flashify from play store to install recovery.

Not familiar with rashr. And if STK not included, its not needed to function.

I got the awe I requested kandykat ROMs just yesterday and its up and running all ROMs got built in tethering I'm kinda unsure bout getting s3 this guy is a working machine fully functional ROMs

Flash in this order:
1) MD4 modem (Read above before flashing)
2) Android 4.4.4 d2lte Nightly
3) Android 4.4.4 GAPPS
4) APN Settings u gotta do this for the device to b fully functional

Not the modem. They come updated now. The APN fix is for data to work. The s3 builds are all unified now so you have to flash your carriers APN.
