Root [Virgin Mobile] Data connection problems

I am using a Virgin Mobile Samsung Galaxy S3 SPH- L710. I am not sure exactly what type of information that any of you would need in order to help me but I will just say everything I did. I rooted my phone using some safe way that was pretty easy and it worked and everything but it would not work for a certain root app I wanted to download. So I then reverted the root and tried to root using some siyah kernal so that I could use a certain app. Long story short I ended up changing the firmware(if thats even the right term) from Virgin Mobile 4.3 to Sprint 4.1 which is now not letting me use any data. I am unable to text, browse the web, or use anything that involves using any time of signal. I don't know how to fix it now I have tried some things but nothing fixes it. I don't know what further information that would be required in order to get help with this so PLEASE feel free to ask me and I will promptly respond in order to fix this problem :( THANK YOU.
TLDR: Switched from Virgin Mobile firmware to Sprint by accident now I have no data connection. My goal was to root my phone and use the siyah kernal on Virgin Mobile firmware.

Actually, you don't need to format to flash this .zip. There were times when I didn't if my data connection started messing up.

The mobile data option on the notification bar is unchecked and when I try to check it, it tells me to insert SIm card to access network services but virgin mobile doesnt use SIM cards so I dont know what to do. The zip file didnt seem to do anything.

Is it because my virgin mobile phone is recognized as a sprint phone now? Since I replaced the firmware by accident.

So, it looks like you might have somehow switched your phone from Virgin Mobile to Sprint. The thing with phones now is it seems like there is a specific way to root each phone instead of using an app to do it. That's why we have to use Odin and a certain .tar file and whatever. Since, your phone is reacting as a Sprint phone, I do have a .zip file that contains the MD4 modem for the Sprint GS3. Maybe you can try it and see what happens.

You should probably flash it back to virgin stock firmware. You can look for jdsingle's mk5 ROM, which is flashable from recovery. If that doesn't work, I'm not sure what you can do. If the sprint ROM you flashed contained a KNOX bootloader, it may be dangerous to flash a virgin stock rom with a bootloader through odin. It might be helpful for us to know exactly what you flashed onto it. You should also determine if you have KNOX by going into download mode. Read the sticky concerning KNOX for the relevant procedures and warnings.

Sometimes a simple profile update will restore your data. That's the easiest and 1st option I always try if I happen to lose data after flashing a Sprint ROM. This option is not available with AOSP based ROMs like CM11, Carbon, Liquidsmooth, and so on. You can only access it on stock based, Touchwiz ROMs.

Have you tried a new battery? Does the battery you are using have a change on it? Have you been able to get into recovery at all? If no to all of these, I hope your warranty is still in effect because I would be sending it back to Sammy.

Were you trying to degrade down to 4.1. If so, you should've done it via Kies. You shouldn't have to use a sprint ROM unless it is not touchwiz. I may recommend you use Philz recovery for d2spr instead :) if I read your correctly, kernels do not give you root. Are you looking for touchwiz or non-touchwiz Roms??
