Root [Virgin Mobile] Flashing Sprint Galaxy S3 ROM

Has anyone tried flashing a Sprint Touch Wiz ROM to our virgin mobile phone? What are the issues that come with flashing a sprint ROM? Does 4G work? MMS? Thanks
 
i don't want CM10.1. What I want is Touch Wiz. I actually really like it so I want to use a Touch Wiz Custom ROM. However, I haven't seen any posts on what seems to work or what doesn't seem to work. Thank you

There are posts, but they are just scattered around because someone mentions them once or twice in unrelated topics. I know that's not helpful, but you just might have to read around in here if no one replies to your topic.
 
I don't know if this helps, but I use Apex Launcher and use the Samsung Galaxy S4 theme . Go Launcher has a more realistic Touchwiz theme. I just like using Apex better because of the options it has. I'm using the 10.1 ROM though because it is a Sprint ROM. I. Immediately like it because you're not constricted in only being able to download Virgin Mobile apps from Google Play Store.

Like I said, don't know if this helps, but it is an idea.
 
Oh, and if you like the Touchwiz clock, download UCCW and they have Galaxy S3 & S4 themed clocks. I'm using the S3 theme. Works great and you can customize it.
 
I have flashed Jellybomb before and everything seemed to work. That was after I spent some time editing settings and replacing files.

For instance modem firmware. I have my original MG3 modem still installed. If I flash the Jellybomb it would not indicate a sprint modem, even though it doesn't flash a new one. This is due to the Sprint files located in /etc/firmware.

APN and build.prop settings are two other files I've edited.

Can you flash a Sprint TW ROM? Probably, but you may have issues due to the fact it's not built for our phone.

Personally I have a newer MG2 phone. Meaning MG2 JB bootloaders pre-installed (meaning I didn't flash the Sprint bootloaders). That with the Sprint touch CWM recovery I've been able to edit then flash a few 4.2.1ROMs (IE: older Slim ROM) but no higher. 4.2.2 and up will lock at boot. I'm guessing kernel issues.

I don't use them because the camera is inoperable and so far I haven't had the time to try and fix it. I probably don't have the skills (coding) to do it either.
 
I was able to run MOAR rom (touchwiz based) for the sprint galaxy without problems. Only needed to fix the APN to fix 4g and mms issues.
I am currently running Pacman rom 4.2.2 (AOSP based) without issue,
 
Camera work? What version of vmobi phone you got? Did you flash the Sprint bootloaders? What version of CWM or TWRP Do you use?

Wait you were able to get 4g and mms working on a touch wiz sprint rom? I tried but never worked for me.
