Root [Virgin Mobile] Flashing TWRP

I strongly dislike CWM, do we think it's safe to flash TWRP's Gs3 files? First new device (without a plethora of tried and tested files) and nervous about borking recovery.

My opinion is I think that it is safe to try out TWRP. If you run into problems you will more than likely be able to just install CWM again. Just make sure the TWRP you download is the recovery only and not a repack kernel with recovery.

I have installed M.O.A.R, CM10, Team VeNuM][Odexed Blue and GOODNESS REBORN. They all worked with 3g and phone service. The camera did not work with odexed blue or CM10. MOAR ran OK but a lot of the custom UI settings didn't work for me. Goodness rom is what I have been running for about 5 days now and it runs great. It looks good too. The only thing I have had to do is fix the MMS with the APN app from the google play store.....

Sprint rom by definition change the modem so do as above says with the apn or wait for a ported rom, should be coming shortly

I also had to disable the new gallery in the goodness rom to change the lock screen wallpaper. took me a little while to solve that one lol.
 
I tried the goodness rom 2 times. I liked to looks of it but it didn't run stable either time. What version were you running?
