Root [Virgin Mobile] Freshly rooted. Need help installing apps to external SD card

I just rooted my phone, and must confess that I'm completely new at this whole thing, and am in need of some assistance. I haven't even started looking at ROMs yet, I'll get to that shortly. First thing I want to be able to do is install apps to my external SD card (Not for giggles and snots, but because when dropbox takes up 500+MB of <2GB, you run out of room pretty fast). Does anyone have insites into this? I followed these instructions (How To Install Apps Onto Your SD Card (No Root) ) both before and after rooting but to no avail

easiest way is to do the swap externaltointernal and use llinks2sd our phones arent setup to run apps from sd card but they can be done very easily. look at jerryscripts post and setup links to sd you can do it even if you dont use victorious and it will work just prepare your card according to his instructions and install links2sd then flash this

then use link to sd to move apps over will give you more internal space and more room for your apps its win win and you dont have to be on victorious rooted stock will work fine.
