I would restore a working nandroid, then just try flashing the modem. That will stay, even if you flash new ROMs. Boot up the rom, and verify that you have data, then boot into recovery, wipe everything, then flash the ROM, Gapps, and APN fix.

I can't boot it into recovery or download mode... the phone is unusable.

Hey guys, sorry I took so long to reply but I think these tutorials were above my level of expertise (I'm just a beginner). So I went ahead and bought myself a new phone -- the Google Nexus 5!��. Thank you all for your help and patience in trying to help me fix my phone.
