I have only tried Slim on my previous phone, wasn't really my cup of tea, but I know several users on the Boost side really like the SlimKat, so I would say give it a go!

Ive used it. Very glitchy still. Battery life is not so great. Had some performance downfalls. And the custom DPI drives me crazy sometimes [everything is very small]

Last I tried was 2.6 RC2 I believe

The DPI issue was the single biggest turn-off for me when I ran it on my previous phone.
