Root [Virgin Mobile] Having some storage issues.

Newbie
I've been having some strange storage issues with my phone and would like some help, I don't know if i missed something or i didn't wipe my phone or what but this issue is getting annoying.

When i first installed victorious i skipped the splitting your sd card step, after everything was setup and stable my storage read as 29 gigs free so i thought i didn't need to. Though after using the phone it was still only using the 700mb and it would fill up even though it said i still had X gigs free. So i followed the how to update to mg5 guide again thinking this would restore my phone to a stock+rooted state so i could continue below.

I then used "teachme's" guide with a stock + root, again after the swap it says i have 29 gigs but yet after 700mb i'm blocked. I have only had one app that has worked to move games to my sd card but since the swap this doesn't work.

Where I think it went wrong was after i reverted back to stock rom with the mg5, i still had my old background and apps like nothing got deleted so this is where i think i messed up.

Basically what I'm trying to ask is, what are the steps to return to a clean stock stage where i can properly install teachme's swap or if i wanted to proceed with installing another rom.

I sort of used two, since i couldn't find an exact how to undo victories guide.

I used buzzcon's clear cache before restoring to g60's backup, then i follwed jerry's guide. Though when i got to step 14 there was nothing to update and superSU and busy box were still installed like i said above. Nothing was deleted even though i used g60's restore.

G60's restore never worked for me either.

Try comp's backup here. This will restore you to bone stock.
Try wiping system and data before restoring.

You realize that with sd swap, the apps (apk files) still go on internal memory. Only the obb and data files from apps end up on your sd card. Those are the additional files some apps have. Like a game that says its 1.25 gb, usually about 20 to 50 mb is the apk, that will still go on internal phone memory. The other 1.2 gb is the "additional" files. With sd swap those go on sdcard. Link2sd moves the apk files. Thats the part with the sd card partitioning that you skipped. So without that if you're just adding tonsvof apps, you will run out of space. I'm assuming when you said memory keeps filling up you meant with apps?

Oh yeah, g60's backup doesn't have data partition so still having all your apps after using his backup is normal. :) actually neither of the backups you used touch data. They're strictly system backups so that you dont lose any of your data. Thanks again g60 and moon for the stock backups, those guys have saved alot of ppls phones.
Thanks to comps too. Like moon said his is probably what you're looking for to go bone stock. But remember with just swap and no link2sd, apks will still go on phone memory, if you want to completly move all app files to your card you need both.

If installed properly you can install alot of stuff i use a 16gig card with my swap second partition as ext4 i have 900 mb free on the built in and over 10 gig free on what i added with 215 apps . 2 games on my phone are over 1.5 gig installs. the guide i linked to in my post says ext2 but most kernels for this phone need ext4 on second partition.

Definitely follow teach's guide. He's 1 helpful dude. Quickly becoming one of the leaders of the "Victorian" community.
