Root [Virgin Mobile] Help!

I think my phone just died.

Galaxy S3, rooted, with the basic mk5 rom.

At first it would refuse to see anything on the sd card, but rebooting helped (for a little while, anyway).

Then the battery drained itself in four hours with very little use. So I changed to a new battery.

It still was acting up, so I went into recovery to reflash the rom, but it said there was no sd card, even in recovery.

Tried to reboot, and it just stays on the Galaxy S3 screen.

If your SD card is in exfat format that's one of your issues

If it is that and you can with the device off use an SD card reader to back up data, reformat, put data back, put SD card back into phone and try to see if recovery sees it

It was running hot last night. But the "sometimes I see it; sometimes I don't" sd card issue had been going on for a couple of days and getting worse.

I guess that was just a symptom of whatever the problem is.

Yeah--I think it was a power surge, right before a blackout. Must have fried something internal. I just got a new one.
