Root [Virgin Mobile] how to enable init.d support on stock rooted?

Apparently the stock rom doesn't support link2sd and I'm running out of internal space.

I read a thread about init.d to swap internal for external storage but it's loosely explained plus the OP asked if it would work for stock ROM and nobody answered to that.

Or any other idea that does not include a custom rom?

Thank you!

Before writing this post, I tried it but it wouldn't work. I left it like that and today I downloaded an app and saw the little icon telling me link2sd was linking it. I checked and indeed I have a second partition working with link2sd.

Now I remember it used to do that with mY optimus v. Then all of a sudden it's working.

PS. Any ideas why link 2sd seems to reject the second partition and next thing it's working like it figured it out?

I had it fail once, I think on the first reboot it just didn't mount the 2nd partition fast enough.
