Root [Virgin Mobile] Intermittent 3g

Could be bad firmware, could be a bad radio, could be VM is working on the system. No way to tell without being there.

Could be the site that your connected too has become overburdened and the airlink has become saturated, which then your phone will try to lock on to another EV-DO carrier or attempt to switch sectors. When that happens the "3G" icon will disappear for a few seconds then will come back if its successful finding a new EV-DO carrier. Or...it could be Network Vision upgrades to the site your connecting too...
