Root [Virgin Mobile] killing knox?

from what i have read a knox'ed phone can not be jtagged to remove it. the phone will not boot untill a knox'ed jtag is place back on it.

to quote "http://omegadroid.co/wanted-knox-void-warranty-0x1/"

According to Chainfire, KNOX status is indeed an eFuse. This means that even JTAG can not reset the KNOX status back to 0

JTAG is control of the processer directly. This means that JTAG can boot anything

We had a member confirm a couple of months back that his phone which had been bricked by Knox was successfully revived and restored using a JTAG. Just FYI.

I do plenty of hardware mods, device bring ups with mips ect. Even an efuse could be rewritten so that the bootloader shows knox never being tripped. Simple hex edit. That would then allow the phone to appear as if it was never tripped

Interesting! Definitely beyond me on the technical side, but good info for sure!

It's similar to htc. Hboot, the bootloader, can be written in such a way that makes it show security on even if it's really disabled. To the average technician, warranty would be valid. But, I don't recommend this, it's fraud
