Help Virgin Mobile LG optimus elite BYOD to ringplus error 67

I finally registered my old virgin mobile optimus elite (vm696) on ringplus today. Ringplus's website has been giving me errors for my previous requests. Currently phone and text are working but I am getting error 67 and no mobile data.

I did the manual provision starting with dialing ##VIRGIN# and put in the MDN and MSID numbers and then phone auto rebooted.

Under menu-settings-about phone-system updates for this phone, there is only one option "update lg software" and no "prl update" available. Is there anyway to get rid of the error 67 pop up message?

Hey loveleozz, I'm currently in the same boat that you are. I just activated my old Elite on RingPlus, and having some difficulties getting it set up.
It's currently running CyonogenMod custom firmware. I think the first step may be to find my backup of the stock rom.
Let me know what you figure out, and I'll do the same.

I was on a cyanogen (maybe alpha 9) rom and I downloaded and flashed back to a stock rom I found online (either odexed or deodexed) and then activated the phone with ring plus. So I am not sure whether flashing to the stock rom would help.
