Root [Virgin Mobile] NDC System

Is it possible to get a flashable ND8.Zip that won't wipe out my Data folder so that I can switch over from NDC?

NDC is the system for Virgin Mobile/Boost Mobile. Why are you trying to go backwards to ND8 which was for the Sprint phones? I don't think it is possible unless you are talking about just the modem itself. But that too I think is tied to the bootloader. So they have to at least match or be newer. (NDC is newer than ND8)

I don't think much was changed but PRLs...

Thats not true actually, If you have the mk5 (JB or android 4.3) bootloader, and you flash the newer modem (NDC/ND8) you will hard brick. Trust me, I am one of the people who bricked trying to update the modem.

If you are on the new bootloader (KK or android 4.4) you can freely change between NDC and ND8 modem. At least thats what I read in the last thread OP made about the same topic the day before this one.

You can flash between the NDC & ND8 modems but you must be running a custom kernel. I'm running Wicked-X and have flashed back and forth between the modems several times.

You must be on the new 4.4.2 bootloader too. Flashing the NDC or ND8 modem while on the old bootloader will result in a brick. Several of the Devs over on XDA tried to flash just the modems and hard bricked.

If you do decide to try the ND8 modem you probably won't see much of a difference. Most report no change. Each phone is different so there's really only one way to find out for sure if it makes a difference on your phone. ;)
