Root [Virgin Mobile] Need some help reverting to stock rom

I'm about to sell the Victory. I had root and the custom MG5 update.

I unrooted, and I downloaded moonknightus' "StockROM-MG5.zip" from "Who wants a flashable ZIP to install stock ROM?"

I put the zip file to the main directory of the SD card. When I go into recovery mode, it gives me these options:

reboot system now
apply update from external storage
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
apply update from cache

When I go to "apply update from external storage" and pick the zip, it eventually says"

-- Install /sdcard ...
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
Verifying update package...
E:signature verification failed
Installation aborted.

Any input would be appreciated.

You have to have twrp recovery. You should have stayed rooted. Moons zip would have flashed stock everything and unrooted if you wanted. But just re install twrp and flash it there.
