Root [Virgin Mobile] Nexus-like 4.4.x ROMS?

I just ordered a S3 to replace a broken phone, and I should be getting it on Monday. In the meantime, I've been looking into ROM options, but I'm finding myself overwhelmed by all the choices.

I have a Nexus 7 tablet, on which I run rooted stock 4.4.4. I am absolutely in love with it, and I'd like to find something similar to it for my S3. Are there any ROMs available that can give me as close to the Nexus experience as possible?

Apologies if this has been addressed before - been looking everywhere, but it's possible that I've overlooked something.

Depends on what you're looking for. Most of the AOSP-based ROMs here will give you a Nexus-like experience. Or if, like me, you have signal issues with AOSP ROMs, you can try Conquest (shameless plug).
