Root [Virgin Mobile] Notification Icon Question

[skippy126]

Hi All,

I have a quick question about my wifi notification icon. I've seen screenshots posted from other S3's that show data arrows on their wifi icon. Mine does not have that...it is just a static icon that only changes based upon signal strength. Is there anyway (without installing a custom rom) to change the icon to show the data arrows? Below is a picture of what I'm talking about.

I'm rooted and on stock rom with Virgin Mobile.

Thanks. I checked it out and no such luck. I could find other status bar icons but none showing the data activity arrows for the wifi icon.

you should try MOAR rom, 4g works and mms is easy to fix

lots of customization

as far has i am aware anything that involves icons and how they act are programed are coded into the framework of the rom. so in answer to your op. if stock does not have it then you would have to have a custom rom. any change made to stock roms that is not built in would make it a custom rom the difference is what the roms base is (tw,sense,ASOP,akop,CM) yes i list cm differently then asop after all CM changes stock google to suit them.

I get that icon when I use WiFi direct instead of the simple WiFi option. WiFi direct is when you are directly connected to an object without the use of a router.
