Root [Virgin Mobile] Problem with transferring file to Victory

I've been having this problem for a while. When i connected my Victory phone with an SD card to my PC, it recognized and let me transfer files to the SD card in the first 2 mins or so. After that i cannot transfer anything else or delete anything on the SD card. Does anyone have the same problem or have any fix or suggestions?
I have this same problem on Stock, Victorious and Conquest Rom.

Possibly a problem with USB port or cable. Try a different cord, port, computer. Does the phone charge when plugged into the computer? Is it set to media device or camera?

Try using a file manager and foget the computer. ES File explorer is a good one.

I've had the same problem ever since the first-time flashing victorious. No matter how much restoring backups I do. Set your screen to stay on, it helps.
Edit: It was the cord. All mine are shot. Bought a new one, right as rain.
