Root [Virgin Mobile] [Q] Third Party Messaging Apps

Does anybody know why third party messaging apps are able to send and receive SMS, and are only able to receive MMS on stock Touchwiz 4.1.2?

Any third party apps that I have tried thus far are not able to send MMS, but can receive them?

(NOTE: Even though I can receive them, I wasn't able to download them.)

Are you connected to Wi-Fi when this happens?

i had this issue as well regardless of wifi on or off. i had to stick with stock but funny thing is mms was hit and miss on the receivers end not mine ...before the latest update without knox will report back issues with the mk5 update if they exist.

I have a similar problem:

I have used Textra and Hangouts, I can send and receive SMS, but I can only send MMS, at least it says I sent it. I only receive MMS when I open the Messages and look at the thread.
I called my service provider about it, they said they didn't have a log of the mms I sent. The last mms they said they saw be sent was one I sent through the touchwiz messaging app.

on 4.1.2 and 4.3 I can send and receive mms just fine with handcent.

Chomp SMS also works. I could never get Textra working, I even emailed their support and this guy tried to help me but everything we tried never worked. Chomp and Textra are made by the same folks.
