Can sprint modems be flashed on VM phones?

I want to flash the LJ7 radio but I'm not sure if it would work

how do you like it?

I would say I'm getting probably the same results as with MG2 as far as signal strength. I get full bars at my house on both MG2 and MK5, and will see what happens when I am out and about. Signal strength at work yesterday seemed pretty similar too.

So if we are flashing our stock radio, that would mean no apn fixes needed for sprint roms right?

Separate issues I am pretty sure; the APN fixes are going to be a necessity for any VM user on a Sprint ROM. Flashing a ROM doesn't flash a modem unless you are dealing with a stock .tar file. Basically a ROM doesn't care what your modem is as long as the assert lines don't prevent a flash.

Thanks! Right now, I'm using the latest nightly of hellfire for sprint. I flashed the mk5 radio and no APN fixes and have working 3g (no 4g at my house, so I'll look for that in my travels throughout the day).

Very nice. Hellfire is really close to a 4.4 release as well, which is pretty exciting. Keep us posted on what does and does not work for you with this combination.

Received an mms...can't seem to send one though. Now, I flashed a fix and got 4g, but then could neither send or receive mms. I might look into flashing mg2 modem and fix and see what happens

For what it's worth I was able to send and receive MMS multiple times today, and I have been using MK5 modem since yesterday afternoon with no issues. It is a known issue, however, that when on 4G on a custom ROM that MMS will not work but if you toggle to 3G it should work. I also go in to the APN's and delete the Sprint one after I flash MopedRyder's fix #1, leaving just the VM APN settings, this has worked fine for me so far.
