This might be an interesting addition to my arsenal on my phone, but it sounds kind of dangerous... I am thinking of looking into it, but not sure the effect it would have for what I would want to use it for.
I have already switched my internal sdcard partition with my external Sd Card partition. Now I really don't know what to do with my 1.7GB or so of "external sd card". This would be an interesting way to use it... but I am concerned about it for a couple reasons. 1. Wear and tear on the internal memory and 2. The /data partition and the actual internal Sd card partition seem to share space with each other to some degree.
What I mean by this is that apps installed on the /data partition take away space from the internal sdcard partition as well. I'm not sure how android is doing this (but I'm still learning how these things work). I do notice that the data partition is slightly bigger though.
To clarify the partitions sharing data... I have nothing on the internal sdcard partition at the moment. yet the space taken up on it matches my data partition, if I install something or link it to the external the numbers change on both. This is true even when I have swapped my internal and external.
The numbers are as follows:
/data partition: Total-1.83GB Used-504MB Free:1.33GB
SD Card partition: Total-1.73GB Used:504MB Free-1.24GB
The max size is different, yet they are sharing space? how does this work? Anyone with android knowledge have the answer?
