Is anyone else having this problem all of a sudden? My front camera won't connect. I think my s3 hates me lol. Any help is appreciated.

Cm has had some camera problems. Idk if that's one, but I'd try a third party camera app. A lot of people like cymera.

Here is the apk file for the camera from Vanir ROM, it tends to work much better than the CM camera. Open up your zip file for whichever version of CM you want to run, navigate to system/app then drag and drop it in to replace the existing Camera2.apk file. Choose yes to replace, then close zip. Flash modified ROM zip (or reflash as the case may be), and as long as you aren't having a hardware problem, you should be good to go.

This fix worked for the issues on Carbon ROM with their camera a few days ago.

I would say that is an ancient build ha ha ha! Realistically, if you want to run CM11, the M3 Snapshot is a great build. Even better, give LiquidSmooth a shot, it is pretty fantastic in my opinion.

Haven't run CM in a while, the last one I used was the M3 Snapshot, which is prior to the unified builds, so you will need the d2spr version. Lots of bugs with CM in the month since that Snapshot build. Plus, I'm way too happy with LiquidSmooth to really recommend anything else right now.

Also sometimes its not the camera app, its the kernel. Some dont play nice with the VM Camera. From me working with Sprint TW ROMs I remembered that the camera hardware is different somehow.

Try the BMS or DKP Kernels
