Root [Virgin Mobile/Sprint] Bypassing Sprint Proxies?

Has anybody tried this on F3? I've read a couple of threads on it & was able to get my MSL number from VM. One of the steps is to change the value of the httpd but I can't even find anything about httpd in the hidden menu? Can anyone give tips on this with the F3?

The httpd can be found at /system/xbin on your phone. It's included when you install busybox. It deals with web server for android. Just google "android httpd" for more info. Hope that helps. :)

I looked in system/xbin but this was all I seen. Also thanks for the earlier response

If you haven't done so already go to the Playstore and install Stephen Stericson's Busybox. Run it and use the install button (bottom of first screen). This should update the scripts in xbin.

Look up "unthrottle virgin mobile" on google. XDA article for bypassing the proxy and unthrottle works according to multiple users.

Has anyone found a solution to this? I have tried everything I can but I cannot get my speed unthrottled on the latested firmware(v7 as of this post)

I did the dds, httpd, and rstp trick to no avail.
