Root [Virgin Mobile/Sprint] Can't mount /data in CWM. Won't recover, stuck

USB not recognized by PC.

I tried to do a flash in cwm, but it won't because it says that the /data is not there.??
Help?

is there anything to flash that rebuilds it?

Would love to do the unbrick guide, but the PC(plural) won't recognize the phone as anything but an unknown device. I've used LG flashtool many times on this phone, now it's hosed.
:(

I have CWM touch installed, and a rom installs fine, but won't boot. It just goes back into the recovery. I go to mount /data and it says it can't.
I believe I have corrupted a partition that can't be fixed now.

Exact error from CWM Touch:

Error mounting /data!

Done.

Sounds like your internal memory is bad. You may need to return it or get a new phone. Have you run the unbrick guide?

You may not have the correct usb drivers on your computer. Look for a thread on this forum entitled root and cwm - easy how to guide the zip file contains the correct usb drivers for your computer
