Root [Virgin Mobile/Sprint] Disable Voicemail Update Notification?

Anyone know how to disable this voicemail update that comes every 15 min or so?? It's annoying to say the last.

I disabled the "upgrade check" and "Action Update Co..." in the 3C Toolbox "app manager". We'll see if that stops it.

true... in fact you don't "need" to even root the phone, but I did update it just a month ago and now it wants to update again. Since I'm rooted and like to play with the phone, I'd rather make this nag screen go away for good.

So that didn't work.

Next I tried going into the "DisableService" app and then System and Voicemail. I unchecked "CM_SMSPushReciever" and the voice mail update had not come back in a day so far.
UPDATE: so far the update has not come back yet.
