Root [Virgin Mobile/Sprint] louder volume?

I use this app. Works well but sometimes it quits. If you use the widget you can just hit the power button off then back on and it will work. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.smartandroidapps.equalizer

Honestly, I'm surprised that some of you find the F3's volume to be too low. I crank this thing half way most of the time, and it's loud enough for me. I have a great pair of Sony MDR-XD2000 headphones that work well with the phone, with or without any EQ or limiting/compression.

The sound quality of this phone's headphone preamp is awesome! With my headphones and earbuds, I use very little EQ, though sometimes I go crazy on Poweramp. If I hook it to my home theater to play the 24-bit FLAC files without any EQ from the F3, the sound is just terrific. I put the volume at about 80-85% when I do that. That's usually when the warning comes up, but the phone doesn't limit it in my case.

With all due respect, y'all probably need to get your hearing checked! Just saying. ;)

Your way off base. When I play the F3 in my truck it is way lower in volume when compared to two other phones. I don't have any issues with headphones or blue tooth either, but it has a noticeably lower output in stock form when feeding an amp with the line out connection. :smokingsomb:

I suppose it depends on what you own. I run my F3 thru a cassette adapter, and the stock stereo of a 1998 Dodge Grand Caravan. The F3 for me is nearly as loud as the FM radio at 85% volume. As far as my home theater, I patch it through a multi switcher using RCA cables. The switcher is hooked to the CD input. The receiver is a late 90s Sony, with the Dolby Pro Logic circuit. Again, same overall result as the Dodge.

One other thing to consider about differences: the first batch of F3s were made in Korea. The second (which I have) come from China. I am guessing that the Chinese run has a louder headphone output.

Finally checked mine. Made in China.
