I finally managed to flash the V7 bin to my F3. Upgraded to V8, stump rooted. Still need to install twrp. Should have a shiny new 64gb class 10 card tomorrow from UPS.

I am considering staying mostly stock, but I've noticed a few cool Roms floating around here.

1. Which is the best Cm based Rom?
2. Best stock one, preferably V8 based?

Keep in mind the phone only supports up to a 32g sd card. :/
The cm10 rom shouldn't be used as a daily driver. At this point it's just for fun. There may be something in the future a little more stable.
As for a v8 based rom, download and install a few and decide your self. Besides the default stock rom, I think there are only 2 at the moment.

btw, i'm glad you got your phone back up and running.

I used a 64 GB card on it before. Had to reformat the file system to fat32 as the the stock JB kernel on the F3 doesn't recognize exFAT. Surely I'm not the only one to use a 64 GB card on a F3.

For my money..I'm lovin the Advanced Stock8v22. I have finally laid my old man's Kyocera Event to rest now. He upgraded to an F3 last week. Thanks for all your help over on the Event forum! You helped make a P.O.S. phone a little better!

Cool. I still have my Event + LG Optimus V in my VM collection. They both run well. I'm surprised my V still works as well as it does.

I've done a few small tweaks with my restored F3. I think disabling mlt via robaho's hidden menu app does speed up the phone a good deal. Doing that did free up about 150 MB of RAM for me. Mlt is one of those hidden apps that's on some LG phones. It tracks usage activity, including web surfing patterns. Damn it, I am an adult, so I had to have that crap turned off LOL!

Call me crazy but I actually like stock on this phone. (Maybe it's the time away... My Tribute is speedy though, even without root.) It'll be great just to have Link2SD and GL2SD on this phone.

Just a historical note...my old man's OV is still in use running bone stock 2.2.2 froyo. My youngest son uses it as his one & only. Won't let me "upgrade" him to a custom rom either. (I think he doesn't want Mom to see what's in his phone! He's thirty, so I gotta respect his space!). That little phone just won't die!

Gonna try the "disabled MLT" trick to see if I get the same results. Thanks for the tip!
