Root [Virgin Mobile/Sprint] vvm - notifications questions

a few weeks ago when the new update came out i did a few things to my phone. i did the fotakill.apk hack and got rid of the notifications. i'm still running v7. i also dumped a bunch more bloatware off my phone.

one of the things i got rid of was vvm... since then i don't get any voicemail notifications. i figured the notifications were tied to vvm so i reinstalled in and yet still no notifications when i get a voicemail.

i have to call my voicemail like in the old days to find out if the caller left a message. not the end of the world but it would be nice to be able to just look at my phone. i was using the vvm email relay but that's a pain in the butt. i'd rather just have the regular android vm notification back.

anyone have a clue?

You could flash the AdvancedStock7 ROM by Sandix ( http://androidforums.com/virgin-mob...stock7-11-14-2014-overclocked-stable-now.html). The latest version has the Virgin Mobile Voicemail.

Or if you didn't want to do that, just download the zip and pull the VirginMobile Voicemail out and drop it in your /system/app folder, then reboot.

I would recommend flashing the ROM, though. Sandix has done a very admirable job on this ROM. Very snappy speed - especially if you use overclocking.
