please flash and tell me what isnt working (besides camera) im trying to find out exactly what needs to be edited so that you guys can just flash. if you dont have 4g and you swap apn's and get it let me know, if you have to flash something else etc... let me know what zip. im here to help you guys.

That is the kind of stuff that made me not want to be involved here anymore. To bad for you guys. I would already be done with a 3.4 kernel if i just had a couple of questions answered !!! I already have a cm10.1 environment building just fine with the sprint kernel... ooh well

P.S. on a side note, did anyone else notice the ota update today with the multi windows functionality? It's still 4.1.2 but an update nevertheless. VERY fricken cool!!! There is also a new kernel 'MG2' in the samsung repo but it is still 3.0.31. I need the virgin sg3 8960 board 'REV number' in order to finish the 3.4 kernel!!!

What kind of information do you need? I can probably help you, as I've tried many roms for the vmgs3
 
Okay I tried it out ( currently on sprite firmware didn't know how to get back to md7) Just flashed the two things posted ( cm 10.2 and gapps) WiFi works Bluetooth successfully paired with another device 3g works SMS works MMS DOES NOT WORK calling works its pretty smooth ( I will attempt to flash MMS fix for 10.1 to see if that fixes the MMS )

IM running on your ROM as I'm typing this and I can confirm that the only thing not working is the MMS as for 4g I wouldn't know I do not live in an area with 4g LTE ( keep in mind Im on the sprintfirme wire if u can post the original virgin mobile radios and firmeware I can try it out maybe that would fix the MMS issue
 
No MMS changed the apns 4glte working. Have yet to swap the apns completely. Still on md7 FYI boost mobile. Other than that so far running without issues.

I've tried both radios. Download the stock vm rom. Get the apns from there and use them. Should fix the mms. 4g still no go though.
 
oh ok, you are using teh boost one, mms isnt working, 4g is or isnt working?

virgin mobile i imagine mms isnt working, still need to know status on 4g.


the next build ill merge some files about and see if this can be used with d2spr or if you guys need a whole new device (i really hope not, i dont have teh time to do frequent builds , especially for a device i dont hold any personal attachment to)

4G LTE is working for me

Would u happen. To know the link to where I could find the stock md7 for virgin mobile s3 or would downloading the stock rom and flashing restore the radios ?? Sorry im confused

NEVERMIND I FOUND IT :3 what i was looking for was the modem cause i was on a sprint firmware Thanks any ways and goodluck

i need to know what the 4g issue is? im assuming it means it doesnt work, does it after apn swap? or some other fix? or does it NEVER work?

edit: jupiterone that means you are using a different recovery than the sprint one

im trying to avoid a d2vmu build, thats why im hoping to fix teh sprint one so you gusy can just flash away. if it comes down to needing a d2vmu build then it means peopel compiling and a huge hassle etc. if i can fix the d2spr then ill know what needs to be patched in source and can send that on to aokp etc and get you guys rolling with all those as well.

as far as bricking yoru device its a d2 phone so chances are youll be fine :)
