I've successfully rooted my VM Victory and am using Link 2sd successfully. My question is hopefully a simple one - if I download a podcatching app and use Link 2sd to move the app, will it download the podcasts to the SD card? I don't want to eat up my internal storage with podcasts.

No Link2sd only links the app and it's cache and library files. Podcasts will download to wherever the app defaults to. Check the settings for the app and see if it will let you specify location.
If not and it defaults to internal storage or internal sd, you would have to symlink to external sd if that's where you want them.

it will work on rooted stock rom and will swap your phones internal memory with your sd card so you can have more storage just flash the component you dont need the whole rom .
1. setup your memory card properly
2. flash this from twrp http://jerryscript.vmobi.us/Victorious/components/Victorious-Scripts-Tweaks%28fixed%29.zip
when you boot up you will notice your internal and external storage has been swapped. you can use up to a 32gig microsd .
