Help (Virgin) Something from the play store killed my phone

So I got a notice to update 5 apps in the play store, I did update all and then I noticed my phone was rebooting. So I tried to unlock it and it was frozen on the lock screen and would just reboot on it's own after about 30 seconds. I went into safe mode and I was able to unlock the phone but it still froze after using it for a minute.

I did a factory reset on the phone and signed into google and let it update all my apps, and it froze again. I wiped it again and didn't let it sync my apps and it appears to be running OK now.

Has this ever happened to anyone? I guess there is some app that is causing this? Guess I get to reconfigure my phone now as I had no nandroid.

I've never had that happen to me... Your best bet is just to update apps one at a time and read the comments beforehand.

I think what happened was I when I first got the phone I let it sync all the apps automatically as that is the default option.

So it might have installed some stuff that was specific to ICS or my old phone the Evo 3D (?). I should have unchecked that option and just started from scratch on the new hardware/OS. Everything is running fine now though, since I have cleaned up my google play account and didn't let it automatically install all apps.

Dunno what happened, but I'll make a backup from now on. :)
And I am going to be more careful about my installed apps.
