Root [Virgin/Sprint] [Kernel] Desire 510 (Write Protection removed)

Just a custom built kernel with write protection removed. Nothing more, nothing less....for now

Instructions:
1.) Unlock bootloader
2.) Flash TWRP (http://forum.xda-developers.com/desire-510/orig-development/twrp-a11chl-a11ul-32-bit-t2950921)
3.) Download: (http://goo.gl/iTYAUu)
4.) "fastboot flash boot boot.img"
5.) Profit!

You realize that's a link to a custom recovery and not a custom kernel. You type that command in for a recovery and you're gonna brick your phone.

One thing I did not notice before, front camera doesn't seem to be working....

Its because the kernel used to build it isn't a proper source for the cdma variant, try your FM radio. It probably wont work either, let me know what issues this has and i will try to get a fix for it so both devices have a proper kernel.

Cant get OC to work because they used speed binning, i havent found a way to trick the efuse into using a different pll table

as for the custom dtb i will post a tutorial on how to make one, its rather easy

Thats the same issue im having on my kernel now for some reason, i didnt have the issue before so its something i changed that did it.......

I think it has to do with the kernel name string and things not matching up.

im not sure exactly what it has to do with, im going to remake my kernel and see if i can figure it out. If i do i will post an update here or send a private message witht eh fix so both devices have a proper kernel with everything working. i will then upload my source to github. if you know how to branch then i will give you access to the device tree and you can add a new branch. or send me your source and i will merge them into a unified tree and upload

nope, just went away. everything im downloading is installing. ive had the original custom kernel since you released it earlier.

flashed latest but ffc still not coming up. tried 3rd party app(not working either) sd card problem still gone.
