Virus on Android?

A friend sent me a link to some video site, and I opened it not knowing what it was. It opened up through chrome, and a pop up saying I needed to install VLC player popped up, then two pop ups appeared taking me to adult websites, asking me to confirm I was 18, or to agree to their terms.

Now am paranoid that my phone/my card details/my files are compromised now. I downloaded AVG and ran a scan, and I have Lookout installed, but I'm still concerned.

Anyway I can know if my phone and everything is clean? Thanks.

There are no virus for Android. They don't exist. Malware does, but it will only compromise you if you installed anything. If nothing got installed you're safe.

Are you sure your friend meant to send you that link? If it's not the sort of thing you'd expect them send, I'd be more worried about malware on their PC than on your phone.
