my galaxy s has a virus and it says the process com.sec android.app twlauncher has stopped unexpectedly every time i try to click on anything

Hi! :)

I don't think that it's probably a virus causing you problems on the phone. Sometimes the system just gets glitchy. This can happen after updates or other reasons as well like the cache getting corrupted.

Here are a couple of solutions that people found for this same issue in our galaxy mini section. The solutions should still be applicable to your device as well.

Solution 1:
SOLUTION

Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > All(tab) > Samsung Home (or as it is on My Galaxy S2, TWLauncher).
Hit the 'Clear Data' button.
That will force close the app.

I did a reboot after this so everything would stick and for my own sanity check.

That worked a treat for me.

Solution 2:
I resolved this problem, with :
1. Turn off the phone
2. Press and hold Home Button ( middle ) + power on for at least 10 seconds
3. Android System Recovery Mode Appear
4. There are 4 options

reboot system now
apply sdcard:update.zip
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition

5. Move the options to " Wipe data / factory reset " using volume down ( - ) button and menu button to confirm, because the touchscreen doesn't work in reovery mode (Use the home to choose Yes)
6. After the process done, phone will reboot. (It if does not, Choose "reboot system now")

Personally with solution 2, I would try the wipe cache partition option before the factory reset to see if it solves the issue. You will not lose any data with that option. A factory reset will completely wipe all of your data off the phone and start you from scratch. It's a last resort option to fix issues like this.
