Visual Voicemail

Does the F7 receive standard voicemail notifications without Visual Voicemail? I'm not a subscriber so I really don't need the app when I can just activate the speaker phone if I want when I call and check my messages. I also don't need the SMS message with garbled code and a few intelligible words every time I receive a voicemail.

So my questions are;

Can I safely get rid of Visual Voicemail?

Is there a way to disable the additional SMS notifications without breaking anything else?

Just wait for it to run out. They give you like 30 days free then they try to get you to sign up.. Just send the message in the garbage, unless you decide you want it, then the last one you'll get will give you a deal. Then it will go away

The idea behind visual voicemail is great... no need to dial in.

Problem is, it needs to download the audio file over data into your phone.

1mb or 2 mb shouldnt take long, but here in SF BAy Area in California, its always 3g, not 4g.... most of the messages dont download, and sometimes you dont know you got a voicemail until 1 hour later.
