visualization of "on hold" or "not on hold"

It's frequent that you're on hold and you can't have the speaker phone on. In this case an app that would do "visualization of "on hold" or "not on hold" is priceless.
Visualization of "on hold" or "not on hold" would free up users hand for other tasks, ie. use of a desktop/laptop computer, or any other leisure/entertainment activity.

Thanks
Arturo

That would be nice, but I'm not sure it can be done. I don't think your phone actually knows that you've been put on hold. From its point of view the call is open, and that's it. It doesn't know whether you're listening to a human voice or to a looped recording.

I don't know of an app. But with a phone holster clipping my phone to my beltline and ear buds plugged in to the phone, I can walk around hands free while listening.
