Root Vivid - Showing 8gb Internal Memory.

Before and after rooting my Vivid, my internal memory was showing 8gb (screen shots can be provided if needed. I'd consider myself a 7/10 in terms of experience with smartphones, so I'm aware of the space allocated for OS/Applications.

To verify, the local AT&T declared that their floor model had the same issue and a software update solved the problem and displayed 16gb after the update.

Here's my problem - I've already rooted my phone and cannot download at&t updates.

Welcome, Cognitions, to the Android forums!:)
Can't you unroot it, download the update, and then re-root?

I am moving this the the Vivid "all things root" forum since it concerns the rooting of your phone.
