VLC turns 2.0

Revamped UI ,support for Blue Rays  , faster decoding on multi-core, GPU, and mobile hardware and the ability to open more formats, notably professional, HD and 10bits codecs, improved mkv ,fixed hundreds of bugs :D  .

Its much much better than 1.1.11
you will see when you download and use it :D .

Oddly enough, the VLC 2.0 won't install on my PC. Some funky error message pops up, but I just used the .zip and extracted all the files into their rightful places.

Turns out that the exe download is bad. Getting some unable to elevate error code 8008 msg when attempting to install. Just downloaded the zip and moving everything into a directory manually.

Not only is the .exe broken, it will break the old install once the new install fails. like some cruel joke,

OK sure VLC didn't get hacked, not only did it break the old install, some reason not a single place on my PC can I find a copy of the old install, I had copies of everywhere.

this isn't funny anymore.

I was able to fix it on windows 2000 but windows XP it nothing but constant crashes with any version after trying to install 2.0

windows 2000 I just put back 1.1.7

Lol, dude.. just download the zip and extract the files to the appropriate directory.

Alrighty then, I'm gonna take the plunge!

Update: seems a non issue as gmote sorta comes with it's own VLC... oddly. But things still mostly work as they did before.
