Vlingo superior to new Gooogle Voice Search

I've loaded both Vlingo and the new Google Voice search on my Droid X with the leaked Froyo OS and Vlingo is significantly superior. Vlingo typically nails the request the first time while Voice Search isn't even close most of the times. Voice search is particularly weak with my contacts which are saved Last, First. While it may behave decently searching for "Jones Bob" it fails dismally when searching for "Bob Jones". Vlingo executes flawlessly with either.

Google voice search is better integrated. If vlingo worked with bluetooth headsets and tapped into google navigation by default, I'd be using it.

So this won't work with Google maps then? I'm sure I saw a demo of it being used with Google Maps

I like the Tap & Speak button from Vlingo, medium is the perfect size. But I've found Google interprets better for me.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant that I downloaded Vlingo Voice from the Samsung apps. It was working okay for 2 days but now I am being asked for an activation code and I don't have one (at least I don't think I do). I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app. After reinstall, it worked for one message then again I was asked for an activation code...any ideas on what is happening?

I was just talking with my 18 yr old nephew (he just gets this stuff!!) and he said that the Vlingo on the Samsung Apps menu is only a trial version...that is probably why it stopped working...I haven't paid for the app.

I think your 18 yr old nephew is right
