Im in trouble now, just got my first text of many as I expect one every month from now on ;)

"You've used 2.5GB so your data speeds will be reduced until your next month starts on 04/02/2012. If you'd rather restart your plan today, click My Account."
 
Oh and its still slow as snot left on a brass door handle on a cold day but still better then the dial-up we only get here ;)

Have really thought about trying to get a 2nd GF $25 VM plan and phone just for internet, Id put the phone connected long USB cable[charging and access], next to a WiFi adapter on a long USB cable [down to PC with a router/repeater] and seal both from weather and hang it off the side of the house like my WiFi antenna build; so the V got a good strong signal all the time. I get double bars outside do to the aluminum siding and tin roof.

Wonder if I can buy a couple of new friends for $25...:p

Heh, I just did 10 gigs over about a month and a half, didn't get busted until a week ago.

I torrented 4 movies, watched a lot of YouTube, streamed music, and live news channels.

Before the throttling, 400-700k, occasionally up to 1 meg. After the throttling, 150-300k. It blows. Oh well.
 
I don't wanna be a dush, but if you're gonna download that much data you could just sign up for broadband internet from comcast. like 50 bucks a month, totally worth it.
We get downloads of 14 mbps usually.

not when you live in a rural area with no high speed, DSL wont work as the lines are from the 40s. buckeye cable is a joke, they want $100 mo and you only get "high speed" downloads, plus you have to pay the phone company $30 a mo for a 2nd line and do all your uploads on dialup.

Im not leaving 4th generation land for the sake of progress, that is the big problem with the US, very few people have roots anymore and are easily washed away.

even with my new plan started, speeds are just as "fast" throttled. got a test in the 480s DL
 
FoxFi keeps track of your peak speed, showing a peak of 1051kbs, which could of only lasted for 10sec but is my new peak with the new months plan. Nice to see it can go up at times either way ;)
